Bill’s Restaurant, Rushden Lakes

Location: Rushden Lakes, Northamptonshire

Envision was appointed by Bill’s Restaurants to provide BREEAM and Energy Assessments for their new lakeside restaurant at Rushden in Northamptonshire.

Envision worked closely the design team and building contractors Monza to ensure that the building achieved a high level of environmental sustainability. We assessed a range of heating, lighting and ventilation options to determine the most appropriate methods for reducing the stores energy demand and complying with BREEAM Very Good standards. A range of scenarios were considered for this purposes and options put forward to Bill’s.

The adopted strategy included upgrades from Bill’s standard specification to heating and ventilation and a full review of the restaurant’s lighting. The building also incorporates low flush WCs and water saving shut off devices which prevent the possibility of water leaks.
