Canopy and Westin Hotels

Envision was commissioned by the 4C Group to complete BREEAM In-Use Assessments for two existing hotels in London: The Westin Hotel (5) and Canopy Hotel (4). Envision completed a Part 1 Assessment for each, which focused on assessing environmental features included in the assets.

Envision undertook a comprehensive BREEAM In-Use Assessment Part 1 assessment for both hotels, evaluating their existing environmental performance across a range of criteria. These included energy usage, water management, indoor environmental quality, and waste management. Our team worked closely with the 4C Group to collect necessary data, conduct site audits, and analyse building performance metrics. The services provided included:

• Site surveys and building audits to assess energy, water, and waste systems.
• Collaboration with hotel management to gather operational data and evaluate building usage.
• Preparation of the necessary documentation to support the submission for certification.
• Recommendations for improvement based on the results of the assessment to improve sustainability and operational efficiency.

Envision worked closely with 4C to achieve the highest rating possible for both developments.

Providing an initial pre-assessment following the survey and then hosting workshops to evaluate opportunities for immediate improvement. This hands-on approach allowed the sustainable credentials of the scheme to be accurately reflected in the BREEAM In Use scores, with each reaching BREEAM Excellent.
