Envision were appointed as Costco’s building services engineering consultant on the development of their new warehouse club at Wembley. The building was completed and opened in August 2016.
The MEP services included a highly efficient HVAC solution designed to minimise energy consumption yet maintain internal comfort conditions all year round. The internal and external lighting design utilises LED fittings throughout, a first for Costco in UK and incorporates photo controls to manage lighting levels in conjunction with natural daylight inside the building via the strategic roof light layout and design.
Roof mounted PV panels in combination with a highly efficient construction delivered a building which achieved an A rated EPC and significant improvement in excess of 45% better than building regulations, all of which contributed to a BREEAM Excellent rating.
