SmithsonHill is a joint venture between Cambridge farmers Russell Smith Farms and Hill Commercial Investments.  Envision has been appointed to advise on sustainability as part of a multi-disciplinary planning and design team led by leading Town Planners Terrance O’Rouke to prepare a masterplan for a new Agri-Tech Science Park called Project ARC. The project has a specific focus on delivering needed R&D and crop proving grounds for the farming sector.  Cambridge has a long established history in bioscience and technology businesses. Residing in the M11 London Cambridge corridor the site is ideally located to provide facilities to help deliver the Governments Agri-Tech national strategy.  The new facility will be designed to address the multiple challenges of sustainable food production, resource depletion, climate change and energy constraints and geo political challenges.
