Refurbishment

Envision worked in conjunction with T Clarke to complete the design for the new heating and mains cold water system at Parkgate Primary School in Watford.

With one of the two existing boilers having already recently been decommissioned, the school was running on only one boiler.  The project involved a detailed survey of the existing systems prior to strip-out.

An initial rule of thumb calculation had been undertaken by the Local Council for the purpose of tendering. However, Envision undertook detailed energy modelling to assess the requirements of the system and the overall plant requirement was reduced by 15%. This will result in both energy savings for the school and a reduction in the capital outlay. It is anticipated this installation will save approximately 15 tonnes of carbon annually.

Our design team turned around the works in approximately two weeks, including the survey. Get in touch if your current M&E designers leave you waiting in anticipation!
