Stanford Le Hope Train Station

Client: Temple Group

Location: Stanford Le Hope

Working as part Temple’s Development Planning Team, Envision has been assisting Thurrock Council and their appointed contractors Morgan Sindall with the initial BREEAM assessment for the upgrade of Stanford le Hope train station.

Envision worked closely with the Temple planning team, BPR architects and Morgan Sindall advising them on practical and cost effective ways to achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating on the redevelopment of a new multimodal transport interchange.

The capacity and facilities at the station are being improved to serve Stanford-le-Hope’s growing commuter population to and from London on the C2C operated connection. The new station will also serve planned increased employment in the area as a consequence of growth of the DP World London Container Port.

The project recently received planning consent. The Council voted unanimously for the scheme and noted “we are delighted to be able to add the decision to our existing and growing portfolio of new rail stations”.
