Envision has supported White Stuff on its new stores in 2017, including their prestigious new shop in the Westgate Centre. We have provided M&E design, BREEAM assessments, thermal comfort analysis and EPCs for the national retailer.
The Westgate Centre regeneration has transformed Oxford City Centre. The shopping complex opened in October 2017 following a£440m facelift by the Westgate Oxford Alliance.
The centre has over 100 shops, 25 restaurants and cafes, a cinema and flats, as well as a underground car park, rooftop terrace dining and new public spaces and is designed to BREEAM Very Good.
Envision has worked with a number of retailers going into the Westgate to assist with the stringent environmental criteria that must be met by new stores entering the centre. For White Stuff, Envision prepared an M&E design to ensure that the power requirements could be accommodated. Envision undertook thermal comfort analysis to consider the design of the shop front and the HVAC solution and acted as liaison between the retailer and the shopping centre’s environmental team to ensure that a sustainable store was delivered.
