Envision have been working with Rydan Mechanical Services (RMS) on the M&E Design of their new project at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.

Envision has been working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to refurbish 3 buildings at the Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Chelmsford. The scheme requires the use of BIM/3D software and shows Envision’s extensive capabilities in using AutoDesk’s Revit software to meet this requirement.

ARU Chelmsford is based in one of England’s newest cities, the Riverside Campus is made up of striking, modern buildings that house state-of-the-art facilities, including Essex’s first School of Medicine.

The project involves consolidation of office areas to create agile workspaces.  ARU have a strict Design Principles Guide which must be followed in the design and construction of their buildings.

The design for each building also needed to comply with SKA. A SKA rating is an environmental assessment method, benchmark and standard for non-domestic fit-out projects, led and operated by RICS. Envision have completed the detailed design of a scheme where all targeted M&E points under SKA have been achieved.

Envision is continuing to provide detailed mechanical and electrical design services for the works throughout the projects construction. The project is due for completion in Q4 2020.
